Girls Empowered

Members of Girls Empowered had an empowering session on Saturday, February 21, 2014 at Longleaf Middle School. GE learned about the four (4) C's of leadership - Courage, Commitment, Confidence, and Competence. They also learned the four C's dance. Young ladies were administered a True Colors Self-Assessment to help them learn more about themselves. Based on the results, young ladies were grouped by their color spectrum with young ladies from other RSD2 middle schools. Each color spectrum - red/orange, blue, green, blue represented specific characteristics. For example, blues are creative, reds are competitive, and golds are organized.
The young ladies have an assignment to complete before the next Saturday session, which will be held on Saturday, March 15th at Richland Northeast High School.
1. List characteristics of a leader.
2. Who is someone you think is a good leader? Why?
